It’s often said that death and taxes are the only certainties in life. One man is finding out how true that can be.
Federal prosecutors say that an Old Saybrook, Connecticut man has been sentenced to 7 1/2 years behind bars for federal tax evasion totaling $4.8 million.
58-year-old David Adams pled guilty to multiple offenses including tax evasion and making and subscribing a false tax return.
Besides having to serve the time behind bars, Adams will have to still pay back taxes including interest and penalties.
