(CHICAGO) — American Airlines now says a woman in a wheel chair who was left alone, wasn’t by herself for long.
American says surveillance footage from O’Hare shows 67-year-old Olimpia Warsaw was transported to a waiting area by an airport employee at 12:30 a.m. Saturday and about 45 minutes later, family picked her up there.
Relatives have said they didn’t know Warsaw was stranded until she failed to arrive in Detroit, but American says the porter assigned to stay with her made a six-minute telephone call to Warsaw’s son less than an hour after the flight was canceled.
Warsaw’s son says American can “condense the timeline all they want,” but that there’s no disputing the porter left her alone.
