Looks like all of those advertisements featuring cows encouraging Americans to “Eat Mor Chikin” are paying off. Chick-fil-A is about to become the third largest fast food chain in the US.
According to data from Kalinowski Equity Research, the chicken giant will surpass Subway in locations by the end of 2019.
In just 2018, Chick-fil-A has increased their footprint by eight percent, with more than 2,100 stores and sales that are up 15.5 percent.
Only McDonalds and Starbucks are currently larger, which the researchers say should give those brands a reason to be concerned.
