A Texas teacher is behind bars after attempting to sell an underage girl for sex in Morocco.
Amber Parker, 37, of Mexia, faces trafficking charges for posting photos of a relative on a Moroccan website, the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office reported. The pictures showed the girl in sexy lingerie with her breasts exposed. Sheriff’s officials did not reveal the girl’s name, age, or how she’s related to Parker.
Mexia ISD, where Parker works as an 8th grade teacher, has placed her on leave. In a letter sent to parents on Thursday, school officials say, “Student safety is Mexia ISD’s number one priority. Any adult in our organization that endangers a child will not continue employment.”
Parker is being held on $25,000 bond.
