Even if the Rams do not win this year’s Super Bowl, they will still be making history this Sunday.
The Rams will be the first team to compete in the Super Bowl that have male cheerleaders.
Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies are both dance-style cheerleaders and couldn’t be happier to be a part of the big game.
“It’s been an upwards journey of excitement,” said 28-year-old Jinnies. “It’s been the perfect season.”
Some fans haven’t been too welcoming to the male duo, taunting them with slurs at the games and even making negative comments on social media.
“Whatever has been out there we’ve been able to take it, because we know who has our backs.” said Peron, 26. “Our family has our backs, our girls have our backs and the city of L.A., they’ve got us.”
