It looks like Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign is already off to an encouraging start.
Just three-and-a-half hours after announcing his candidacy on Tuesday’s Good Morning America , the presidential hopeful had already received $1 million in contributions. While candidates Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar saw similar spikes following their announcements, it took 24 and 48 hours, respectively, to reach the million mark.
When Sanders’ total was calculated at 10:30 a.m. ET, one of his senior aides noted, “And California is just getting up.”
