* Sully the service dog isn’t receiving his gold watch just yet. The companion of late President George H.W. Bush is taking on a new job.
* The 2-year-old yellow Lab will spend his days at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, helping “provide support, comfort and cheer to wounded veterans.”
* Named for Miracle on the Hudson pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger III, the K-9 Sully was given a new vest and the rank of a Navy hospital corpsman second class.
* In a ceremony streamed on Facebook, Sully was administered the oath of office, asking that he serve his duty “without any promise of treats or tummy rubs.”
