* Police say a 2-year-old girl was killed during a vehicle pursuit Sunday evening.
* A Chicago Police spokesman said Monday that the vehicle fled an attempted traffic stop and that the child was ejected when the fleeing vehicle crashed into another vehicle then hit a tree.
* Authorities say the child was not in a car seat. They also say a weapon was discovered in the vehicle.
* Charges are pending against the 21-year-old driver who declined treatment.
