With the release of the documentary “Leaving Neverland”, “The Simpsons” creators have decided that a well-known episode that included Michael Jackson would be taken out of circulation.
“It feels clearly the only choice to make,” said James L. Brooks the executive producer for the hit cartoon.
The episode was the third season’s premiere and it was titled “Stark Raving Dad”.
Michael Jackson voiced the character Leon Kompowsky in the episode. His character is in a psychiatric institute with Homer and eventually helps him write the song “Happy Birthday, Lisa”.
“The guys I work with – where we spend our lives arguing over jokes – were of one mind on this,” Brooks continued.
