While Southwest Airlines would like to assure passengers that all 34 of their Boeing 737 Max 8 planes are completely safe, those who are still nervous can re-book on a different plane without penalty.
Airlines around the world have grounded their fleets of the jet following the crash of an Ethiopian Airlines Max 8 on Sunday. The US and Canada are still allowing them to fly.
The Federal Aviation Administration and other US carriers stand by the planes and their crews, noting that they are monitoring the situation.
Even though Southwest says, “We remain confident in the safety and airworthiness of our fleet,” anyone wishing to change their flight can do so for no fee.
