Police have made a second arrest in the case of a North Carolina man accused of imprisoning a teenage girl to use as his sex slave.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody Tuesday on suspicion of aiding and abetting David Wolfington, 57, who is accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl numerous times while holding her captive in his Kings Mountain home. Police say the woman knew what was going on and, in some instances, helped Wolfington abuse the teen. She’s also accused of doing nothing to help a 12-year-old girl Wolfington kept locked in his basement, police say.
Wolfington was arrested in January and charged with statutory rape of a child 15 or younger, statutory sex offense with a child 15 years old or younger, sexual servitude of a child victim, a child abuse-sex act, child abuse and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He’s currently being held on a $300,000 bond. His female accomplice is being held on a $250,000 bond.
