56-year-old Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage, who also goes by “Joe Exotic”, was once a gubernatorial candidate in Oklahoma, but is now getting attention for being convicted in a murder-for-hire plot.
A recorded meeting with an FBI agent is evidence that Maldonado-Passage attempted to have Carole Baskin of the Big Cat Rescue murdered for $10,000.
“Just, like, follow her into a mall parking lot and just cap her and drive off,” Maldonado-Passage is heard saying in the recording.
“Joe Exotic” was also convicted two years ago for killing five tigers.
