Sprint has removed a cell phone tower on a Ripon, California elementary school campus after parents allege that the tower’s radiation has caused cancer in four children. The parents believe that the radio frequency waves, which can be carcinogenic, caused the cancer.
Sprint says the tower’s safe. An engineer for the school district says the RF waves are within federal guidelines, but the parents hired an engineer who says that the RF waves are much higher than the school district’s estimate.
CBS News says that the Health Department has also tested the water and soil at the school.
