With the start of primary voting in roughly ten months, Sen. Cory Booker has raised just over $5 million in the first quarter for his presidential campaign.
That puts Booker in fifth overall for money raised by Democratic candidates for president.
The top four are as follows: “Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said he raised $18.2 million; California Sen. Kamala Harris raised over $12 million; former Rep. Beto O’Rourke raised $9.4 million; and Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Ind., raised $7 million”.
Booker is happy overall, but says that donations will not dictate how people eventually vote for the next president.
