After a 66 year ban on abortion, South Korea’s court has ruled that the ban is unconstitutional, ordering lawmakers to reverse the ban by December 31st, 2020.
A woman “convicted” of having an abortion in South Korea could be imprisoned for one year and charged thousands in U.S. dollars. Doctors charged with abortion assistance could face two years in jail.
