Pete Buttigieg does not believe that you should be able to vote if you are behind bars.
The Democratic presidential candidate believes that when you are arrested you give up certain rights, including the right to vote.
This directly contradicts Sen. Bernie Sanders take on the matter, who would allow felons to vote saying voting “is inherent to our democracy. Yes, even for terrible people”.
Sen. Kamala Harris was more vague on the topic saying, “We should have that conversation.”
