American students need more recess! That’s the finding of research by Georgia State professor Olga Jarrett.
CBS News reports physical activity in schools has taken a backseat in an effort to improve test scores – but to the detriment of students.
‘Playtime’ teaches social skills, organization, and how to give and take instruction – not to mention the mental and physical health benefits.
According to Jarrett, state and national legislative bills would have the most long term impact.
