The ‘retail apocalypse’ is continuing with drugstore chain CVS, who announced plans to close several dozen ‘underperforming’ locations.
Last month, the company began closing 46 of its stores as the company shifts its focus from retail to health care services.
However, this isn’t a large-scale shutdown like we’ve seen with Sears and other retail chains. Less than 1% of the nearly 10,000 CVS stores nationwide are closing their doors.
