Fallen Chicago Police officer Areanah Preston was honored during Saturday’s commencement ceremony at Loyola University Chicago’s School of Law. The 24 year old posthumously received her master’s of jurisprudence at the event, with her mother accepting the degree on her behalf.
Visitation for Preston is scheduled for Tuesday at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, and her funeral will take place on Wednesday at Trinity United Church of Christ on the city’s south side.
