A bicyclist is in critical condition after Chicago police say someone beat him with a construction sign and his own bike in the South Loop this morning. The 62-year-old was riding on the sidewalk in the 2200 block of South State Street around 1 a.m. when witnesses told police someone started hitting him with a construction sign. this man lives near by. At this point police don’t have a motive for the attack and no one is in custody.
