The Chicago fire department says several homes were damaged and garages were destroyed due to fireworks that started a fire near 64th Place and Menard Avenue in the Clearing neighborhood. No injuries reported. Two garages burned to the ground and the siding on several homes melted from the flames. Chicago police are now investigating.
