It’s a busy travel day at O’hare with Labor Day travel in full swing. Transportation Pete Buttigieg visiting Chicago this morning touting the decrease in flight cancellations. He says cancellations are down 1.6 percent compared to 2.6 percent last year. He touted changes in his department to protect travelers from unexpected cancellations. Over 1.6 million travelers expected to make there way through O’hare and Midway. The busiest day will be Monday. If you are hitting the road instead of the air today, Triple A says nearly 8 million people are expected to travel by car over the long holiday weekend. The worst time to travel is between 11am and 9pm.
