Lockport voters will vote on renovations to a District 205 School in March

The referendum on the March ballot will ask residents to vote on an 85 million dollar renovation to the Central campus. The board approved the measure just weeks after the ceiling collapsed at the historic school which was built in 1909. Currently the 900 students at the school are being bussed to he former Lincoln Way High School in Frankfort. The money would be used to preserve the exterior of the school, its foyer and gym as well as update heating and air conditioning systems and classrooms.
