The NTSB releases a preliminary report on the CTA yellow line crash

The NTSB says the yellow line train collided with a snow removal machine near the Howard Station and the conductor knew the snow removal machine was on the tracks, but wasn’t sure where it was located. Sixteen people were hurt, three of them critically. The CTA estimates the crash caused about $8.7 million in damages to equipment. The yellow line remains closed.
