(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — Prime Minister Netanyahu meets President Donald Trump today in a fast-tracked White House visit pushing to expand Iran negotiations.
Netanyahu says any deal must curb Iran’s missiles, nuclear program, and proxy forces. He told reporters Tuesday he would “present to the president our outlook regarding the principles of these negotiations, the essential principles which, in my opinion, are important not only to Israel, but to everyone around the world who wants peace.”
The meeting comes as the U.S. and Iran resume talks in Oman. Trump told Axios he’s considering sending a second aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East if talks collapse, in addition to the USS Abraham Lincoln already deployed.
