A new wave of explosions rocked Tehran early Tuesday, while Iran struck the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia with a drone as it kept hitting targets around the region.
Israel’s military said it launched strikes targeting Tehran and Beirut, and deployed additional forces to southern Lebanon. It later reported that more Iranian missiles had been launched towards Israel.
The attack on the embassy in Riyadh caused a “limited fire,” according to Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry. The Iranian Red Crescent Society said Tuesday that at least 787 people in Iran have been killed in airstrikes. Six U.S. service personnel have died. The U.S. State Department has urged U.S. citizens to leave more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News the war was “not going to take years,” calling it “a quick and decisive action.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said “the hardest hits are yet to come from the U.S. military.” President Trump said operations are likely to last four to five weeks but that he was prepared “to go far longer than that.”
