(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — Border czar Tom Homan says ICE agents will stay at airports until enough TSA workers are back on the job. Homan adds that those TSA workers who went without pay for over a month should finally see paychecks arrive as early as today or Tuesday.
Federal agents have been assisting with airport security leading to shorter wait times as some TSA agents continue to call in sick. For instance, four-hour wait times at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport dropped to under an hour, but airport officials warn operations aren’t back to 100% and wait times could go up.
