(CHICAGO) — President Trump is back on the road Friday heading to Chippewa County, Wisconsin to highlight what the White House calls a record of delivering for America’s farmers. The administration points to the One Big Beautiful Bill, saving family farms from the “death tax,” along with savings on crop insurance, regulatory rollbacks, and new Rural Opportunity Zones to attract investment. Trump is also expected to tout new trade deals opening overseas markets for U.S. agricultural products.
Farmers remain one of Trump’s strongest constituencies. At a March White House event with farmers, he said, “No one has more grit or greater spirit than the American farmer,” arguing his administration is giving producers what they’ve long asked for; “a level playing field.”
