Early Friday morning, ComEd reported over 165,000 customers without power while NIPSCO reported some 74,000 without power in Northwest Indiana.
Downed trees and power lines closed several roads in Merrillville, IN. with the hardest hit area being along the 61st Avenue corridor. At least a dozen buildings saw damage.
