The Chicago Bulls announced their plans Thursday to honor the life and legacy of Stacey King throughout the 2026-27 season
According to the announcement, the team’s uniform will feature a band with the three-time NBA champion’s name along with a microphone icon, a nod to King’s decades as a broadcaster.
The Bulls will also host a Stacey King Celebration Night on Feb. 4 at the United Center, just days after what would have been King’s 60th birthday on Jan. 29. Information about the celebration will be shared at a different time.
King passed away on June 7 at the age of 59. He spent his first four-plus seasons in Chicago and was part of the greatest era in Bulls history and one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history. The Michael Jordan-led Bulls completed their first of two three-peats while King was there, winning the NBA title in 1991, ’92 and ’93.
