On Wednesday the Chicago city council voted to give Inspector General Joe Ferguson the power to investigate aldermen and their employees. He replaces Legislative Inspector General Faisal Khan, whose tumultuous term ended in November. But by a 25-23 vote that was the closest votes the Council has seen in years, aldermen amended the ordinance in a way that will cut off half of the oversight that Ferguson exercises over the rest of city government. President Obama visited the Illinois capital Wednesday, renewing his call for healing the nation’s partisan discord and building a better electoral system. He outlined a few solutions: limiting the influence of money in politics — including a Constitutional amendment, if necessary; reforming the congressional redistricting process; and making it easier to register and vote. The siege in Oregon may finally be coming to an end. The armed occupiers of a wildlife refuge in Oregon say they will turn themselves in on Thursday morning, hours after Cliven Bundy — the father of protest leader Ammon Bundy — was arrested by federal agents.

Bernie Sanders continued his New Hampshire victory lap Wednesday night by making his second appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. And while he was still a major underdog when he visited Stephen Colbert last September, this time he was riding high.

Netflix has snatched up global rights, outside of a handful of select territories, to German hit comedy Look Who’s Back. The adaptation of Timur Vermes’ bestseller has Adolf Hitler waking up, unharmed and unrepentant, in modern-day Berlin. The film will be available on April 9.

Funny or Die has created the can’t-miss biography of Donald Trump. It’s called “Donald Trump’s The Art of The Deal: The Movie”, it’s an hour long and stars Johnny Depp as The Donald.

Something to think about as Navy Pier prepares to open the new, much larger ferris wheel: A couple was arrested in Las Vegas for having sex during their ride on a 500 foot-tall ferris wheel on the strip. They told police they did not think anyone would be able to see them, but the surrounding cars got a great view and so did the security cameras in each of the cars.
