(Chicago)  The roof of the Firehouse restaurant in the South Loop collapsed during a blaze Wednesday at the former Chicago Fire Department quarters.

The fire was reported about 10:25 a.m. at the Chicago Firehouse Restaurant at 1401 S. Michigan Ave., according to Fire Media Affairs.

About 11:50 a.m., the roof fell in, according to fire media.

The blaze was extinguished by 12:35 p.m., though firefighters remain on the scene as of 12:45 p.m.

No one was hurt in the blaze, according to fire media.

The No. 3 King Drive, No. 4 Cottage Grove and No. 12 Roosevelt buses are all being rerouted in the area of the fire, according to the CTA.

The building formerly housed the Chicago Fire Department’s Engine 104, according to the fire department.

The limestone and yellow brick firehouse was built in 1905. It was completely remodeled in 1999, though the restaurant retained the firehouse’s original tin ceilings, fire-glazed walls and brass poles, according to the restaurant’s website.

The building was used for filming of the 1991 movie “Backdraft.”
