Darline Senger: “You want someone that’ll be there and commit, and she won’t commit to being comptroller”

Big John and Ramblin’ Ray are joined by Republican Candidate for Illinois Comptroller Darline Senger. She discusses what her first steps would be as comptroller and what needs to be done to get the bills down in Chicago. Senger comments on Susanna Mendoza and the possibility of her running for mayor, which she says how that isn’t fair for the voters who are voting for her in the run for comptroller.

In this week’s Community Spotlight, Nick Gale focuses on the Cooking Up Change program and competition which takes place on November 16. Students from across the Chicago Public Schools compete to create lunches that meet strict USDA guidelines and cost around $1 per meal. Schools across the nation are also holding their own competitions and the Chicago winners will face them at a national competition this summer in Washington. After the November 16 competition, winners will be announced at a gala later in the evening which raises money for the non-profit program.
