(ZION) Two men and a teenage boy face felony charges after 55 guns were stolen in a north suburban burglary earlier this month near Zion.
The weapons were taken from a firearms retailer that was broken into on June 1 in the 41000 block of Sheridan Road in unincorporated Benton Township, according to a statement from the Lake County sheriff’s office.
A week later, Waukegan police found some of the stolen guns while executing a search warrant at a home in the 2700 block of Eschol Avenue in Zion, police said.
Investigators from the ATF helped authorities in tracking down 18-year-old Zion residents Lawrence Taylor and Clarence Williams, as well as a 17-year-old boy, police said.
The men each face felony burglary and theft charges. Williams was ordered held on a $500,000 in court Wednesday, and Taylor on a $750,000 bond, police said.
The teen was referred to Lake County Juvenile Court.
