(CHICAGO) Tickets went on sale Tuesday morning to the Chicago production of the smash hit Broadway musical “Hamilton”.

Hundreds of people were lined up for tickets at 10 a.m. at the PrivateBank Theatre, 18 W. Monroe St., to buy seats for the Tony award winning hip hop show about the life of U.S. founding father Alexander Hamilton.

Tickets are also available online at www.Broadwayinchicago.com, and by phone at 800-775-2000.

The first block of tickets will be released for performances running from Sept. 27 through March 19, 2017.

Nothing will yet be on sale past that date, and the early weeks of the show already are heavily sold to groups and subscribers. Most tickets to most performances will be priced from $65 to $180.   Premium tickets are expected to go for between $500 and $600.
