Oscar Ratings Crash Yet Again?

Why won’t people watch the Oscars anymore?

That is the question that many will be asking yet again today.

Last night’s ceremony drew a 18.9 Live+Same Day rating in the metered market households.

That was off 16% from last year’s 22.4 rating, which was a nine-year low.

The 18.9 appears to be even worse than the numbers for the event when Jon Stewart hosted back in 2008.

That even did a 21.9.

Have you stopped watching? If so… why? Is it the political slant? Is it because you haven’t seen many of the movies being nominated?
