(CHICAGO) Chicago Fire Department diver Juan Bucio died during a rescue attempt, in the South Branch of the Chicago River, on Memorial Day.
Visitation for the 46 year old diver will be held Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the chapel at St. Rita High School in Chicago. The funeral will be held on Monday, at noon, at the same location. A full honors burial will follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Stickney.
The Chicago Fire Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the veteran diver’s death as he searched for Alberto Lopez, 28, who friends say went overboard when a bigger boat created a large wake.
