A report published on the website 24/7 Wall Street listed Rockford as the 16th worst U.S. city to live in and the most violent in Illinois.

Unemployment and crime were the kley factors.

Critics of the report say the statistics are based on a period of time after the Belvedere Chrysler plant was closed for re-tooling.
