Quigley: Trump has made our nation “sick”

By Bill Cameron, WLS-AM News

(CHICAGO) Chicago Congressman Mike Quigley says President Trump has made our nation “sick.”

At the City Club, Quigley argued that Trump policies like aggravating our allies, separating families at the Mexican border and perhaps reaching out to Russia to help win the presidency are threatening the world order that the U.S. established after World War II.

“The journalist and commentator David Frum made an analogy that resonated with me,” said Quigley, “He said when you have a sick child, it is exhausting to care for them, but you don’t stop caring for them. At this moment in our history, our country is sick and we must rely on one another to find the energy to continue caring for it.”

Quigley’s call to action is to protect the Department of Justice and the Mueller investigation, push back on the unethical use of pardons, plus defend the press.
