(CHICAGO) Now that Mayor Emanuel says he won’t run for re-election, Congressman Luis Gutierrez is not only one of the prominent names being mentioned now for mayor, but he’s also sent a letter to President Trump asking HIM to resign!

The always-dramatic Gutierrez took to the floor of the House to say Trump should resign because he’s under criminal investigation for his dealings with Russia and for perhaps breaking a variety of laws on banking, taxation and elections.

“Please resign and spare the nation from this ongoing nightmare,” said Gutierrez, “Don’t do this to us.  Don’t make us go down with you.  Step aside, sir, for the good of your country and the world.”

Gutierrez said he disagrees Vice President Pence on many issues, but by comparison to Trump he’s an honorable man.
