Tropical Storm Michael is now moving through the Carolinas and into Virginia after leaving a trail of destruction in the Florida panhandle and Georgia.
Florida Governor Rick Scott called the storm damage “worse than anybody ever imagined”, with the worst of it in Mexico Beach, Panama City. Five deaths so far have been attributed to the storm, four in Gadsden County, Florida and one in Seminole County, Georgia.
The Carolinas now brace for up to nine inches of rain in a region already dealing with flooding from Hurricane Florence. Virginia has declared a state of emergency as the storm heads their way.
