Florida is still in a state of recovery following Hurricane Michael.

Small businesses are going to feel the residual effects of the storm in the coming weeks due to many obstacles including no electricity and internet.

Even though many businesses have insurance for their hard assets, most of them do not have insurance to cover the losses they will experience during the storm recovery process.

Local small business employee Chuck Tibbetts says, “It’s going to be tough going. A lot of them won’t survive.”

One of the largest impacts could be employees being out of work until small businesses can get back up and running. “There will be people displaced for more than a year,” local lawyer Edwin Walborsky said.
