The reported untimely demise of Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi continues to grow into a more disturbing story with each day that passes.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Khashoggi was drugged, beaten, killed and dismembered by Saudi operatives in the presence of a top Saudi diplomat.

The WSJ sites unnamed Turkish officials as its sourcing for the report. Meanwhile, a Turkish newspaper, that is considered a tool of the government, is reporting that that the journalist was tortured in the office of Mohammad al-Otaibi, Saudi Arabia’s consul general in Istanbul.
