What’s Bill Gates up to these days? Trying to develop the ‘toilet of the future’. In fact, he’s currently hosting the Reinvented Toilet Expo in Beijing, China.

At the conference, Gates took the stage holding a jar of poop. He said the toilets of the future wouldn’t flush waste down the sewer, but recycle it into products like fertilizer or energy.

The Gates Foundation has given more than $200 million towards the development of waterless toilets in recent years.
