A Nebraska elementary school principal wanted to make sure her classrooms were as inclusive as possible, so she banned anything that could be considered a celebration of Christmas.

Sending a memo to the staff at Manchester Elementary School, Jennifer Sinclair said everything from Santa and reindeer, Christmas trees, anything green and red colored, even candy canes were on her naughty list.

However, generically winter themed items were deemed ok, including Olaf from Frozen.

The school district wasn’t happy at the decision, placing Sinclair on administrative leave, and reaffirming that “the memo does not reflect the policy of Elkhorn Public Schools regarding holiday symbols in the school.”
