We have an important recall to inform you of today. The USDA has announced that nearly 30,000 pounds of Jimmy Dean sausage links are being recalled.

The sausages in question are being recalled because they may contain pieces of metal. The 29,000 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat pork and poultry products could have extraneous material.

Five consumers complaining of the metal led to the recall. The specific product being recalled is the 23.4-ounce pouches of “Jimmy Dean Heat ‘n’ Serve Original Sausage Links made with pork and turkey, with a “use-by” date of Jan. 31.
