Colin Kaepernick’s legal battle with the NFL has finally ended. The quarterback has dropped his collusion case against the league in exchange for an undisclosed amount of money.

“The parties have decided to resolve the pending grievances,” Kaepernick’s attorney Mark Geragos says. “The resolution of this matter is subject to a confidentiality agreement so there will be no further comment by any party.”

Kaepernick’s problems with the NFL began in 2016, when the former 49er began taking a knee during the National Anthem to protest racial injustice. He was soon sidelined and hasn’t played since — which claims was the league’s way of punishing him for the demonstrations. In October 2017, he and fellow player Eric Reid filed a collusion lawsuit against the NFL.

Kaepernick remains a free agent.
