U.S. Flu Season Longest in a Decade

With 21 weeks of the flu being elevated in the United States, this year’s flu season is a record breaker.

It has lasted a week longer than the 2014-15 flu season according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“This season has been record-breaking in terms of duration,” said CDC spokeswoman Kristen Nordlund.

Even though this year’s flu season has been quite long, it is currently on the decline.
