Looks like Jon Stewart’s tirade worked – on Wednesday, a House panel unanimously passed a bill to fund the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund.

On Tuesday, the former Daily Show host appeared before the committee, telling them to “do your job” and calling it “shameful” that nearly half the subcommittee didn’t even attend the hearing.

The bill approves additional money to keep the Victims Compensation Fund operating through 2090. The money goes not only to victims’ families but also to first responders who suffer from respiratory illnesses tied to the 9/11 site.
