A pregnant woman in Alabama who miscarried after she was shot – by someone else – in the stomach is now being prosecuted for manslaughter for her five-month-old fetus\’ death.

However, charges against the shooter have been dismissed.

The pregnant woman is being charged because, according to police, she started the argument that led to her being shot, which led to the miscarriage. The investigation says that the woman who shot her was defending herself. Alabama recently passed a near-total abortion ban.
